Your story is lovely. Unfortunately, not everyone's story has a loving family member, standing at the ready to adopt a baby. I'm sure this scenario is not common. It is most likely very, very rare.

For every pregnancy, there is an outcome. I'd rather the pregnant woman be in charge of her own outcome. I'm firmly a proponent of family planning. If a woman doesn't want to be pregnant, I don't need to hear why or involve myself in wondering what if.

When we relate our personal stories, I worry that it overshadows the real struggle of decision. Now, with our laws making it impossible for some women to follow through with their decision to abort...how does that seem OK to anyone?

That's always the bottom line of the discussion for me.
