We had this happen too. Our card was skimmed at a gas station. The theives couldn't get to my money though, so they called me and pretended to be Zell, a money transfer program, and pretended to be trying to help me.
They had plenty of information too. Later, I learned from my bank that it is important to put the phone down and call again, not by using the number you are given but the number your bank gives on their website.
I did use the number the scammers gave me to call them and give them a piece of my mind, evoking their grandmother's and family members.
I didn't lose any money but it was a big hassel, new bank card, new internet passwords, had to go to the bank during Covid, etc.
