This made me LOL. I had a hysterectomy many years ago. Once, someone with little tact asked me if I was sad not to be “a woman anymore”.

I thought to myself of all I had to give up (Aunt Flo, the moment you describe, stained underpants, etc.) and had to wonder exactly what she was talking about.

I already had my family. Having my period never made me a woman. Not a single time.
