This is one of those stories that makes me wish I'd thought to write about the same subject. I know I still can but you've done it so well. My SD will be 30 in two months. A lot of what you've said about yours rings true for mine as well.

I came into her life when she had just turned 14 and it's been a roller coaster ride. I have a bio-daughter and never imagined, when I became a widow at 46 that I would someday have another daughter to help raise.

It hasn't been easy but here, where we are now, is amazing and worth all of the hard parts.
