Sometimes a prompt can be inspiring.

Sometimes, when a writer follows prompts, they are exercising a unique form of creativity--an ability to create a story about, well, anything.

I wrote for a prompt publication for several years and I'm proud of the work I produced while writing for them.

I know exactly what to write about when I'm working from my own experiences. I write fiction and pulling a prompt into a piece of fiction isn't always "easy". It certainly isn't lazy. Doing it again and again is its own reward.
