On rare occasions I write poetry. When I can't find an exact rhyme I relish the word that ends up being a perfect fit for my poem if not a perfect fit for the rhyme. Sometimes the word is close to a rhyme. I think there is some magic in that.

Your line,

an addict I am and I wish to be anything else

seems hopeful for your self

self isn't a perfect rhyme but it sounds right

The poem is yours nonetheless.
