Love this, Kiki. My teen life was spent, in part, moving with my parents whenever my Dad got promoted. Different schools. Different parts of the country. Writing letters only to have the bonds with boyfriends/friends fizzle out. You captured those emotions, the disappointment and the uselessness of such devotion.
