Isn't it well known that Roseanne is mentally ill? I too hate the new persona. She's awful and no matter how much I loved the original show I can't watch reruns. I do still quote lines from the show now and then because the writing was just. so. funny.

Example- Someone knocks on her front door. She opens it and invites the person in, excusing the ever present mess by say, "Sorry for the mess but we live here."

Second example- when my husband and I see anyone smoking cigarettes we quote Roseann, who has been hiding her cigarette addiction, and gives a list of all of the celebrities who smoke.

"Lucy smoked, Desi smoked, Ward smoked, Make Room for Daddy smoked, Maxwell Smart smoked, #99, the Chief, Hymie, and he was a robot, but he smoked. Cathy smoked.

Jackie Harris : Patty didn't smoke.

Roseanne Conner : I know, but they made her into a huge nerd. Rob smoked, Laura smoked, Buddy, Sally, Jerry... Millie smoked. Gomez and Morticia smoked. I'm not sure about Samantha but both Darrins smoked."

Now though? Like a lot of Maga American's, she's obviously lost her mind...
