Interesting and revelatory article, Terry.
I'm not exactly sure why and have no time today for going down holes, rabbit, or worm. However it came about, I've avoided The Stooges since I first became aware of them due to Iggy's behavior. Chalk this feeling up to Ick Factor. Again, I don't recall details.
Ick Factor plays into a lot of things. In a lot of ways, I feel like I have, maybe by way of influence stemming from my conservative but reasonable father, a built-in Ick Alarm.
Some people walk towards the Ick. And some won't. Some ignore it, some embrace it, and others simply can't.
It's not exactly like taking a higher moral stance. It seems more personal than that. Being youthful makes it much harder to reflect on what life might look like in the future. Not imagining how one might feel later is responsible for a lot of crazy and brazen youthful behavior.
Conscience is a powerful thing.
Woah...like pulling on the reins on a horse.
