I'm glad to read this bit of your history. Glad you made it through intact!

My parents were pretty open-minded but all of the changes of the sixties were still difficult for them. There was never a stink over my music -I just wore headphones -but my mother hated my jeans and hoop earrings.

I couldn't wait to grow up and do life by my own standards.
