If George Bush had never been president we wouldn’t have a score card from which to make judgments about him. We do have his score card though and often folks have a hard time ignoring what may have negatively affected them.

Once I had a business dealing with an old man when I was in my thirties. His daughter told me not to park in front of his house in my Toyota because he was a World War II Vet and still angry at the Japanese. I got the picture that some of his buddies had been killed by the Japanese right in front of him.

So, I parked around the block and walked up to his door.

I can’t get too mad at Ellen for being nice and friendly to someone. It’s not like she’s going to be negatively influenced by him.

Sometimes, when you behave kindly, you might be an influencer.

And sometimes a purely social situation isn’t the right time to make everything all about politics.

I don’t know if Bush had firm convictions about his political views. Seems a funny thing to say about someone who was once President but to me he always seemed like the guy the Republicans chose because they could tell him what to do.

He always seemed a little bit goofy…the frat boy who never acted like Kavanaugh because his mother would have been so very unhappy if he did. (Bar Bush was quite formidable).

If Ellen gives up her personal beliefs due to her “relationship” with Bush I’ll be upset. Until then, I’m hoping that Bush and his kind might revisit their ideas about the LGBTQ people in our world due to Ellen’s charm and humor.
