I loved Jeannie too. She reminded me of my grandmother's best-friend's little sister, Mary B. Always had her hair in place, a pretty suit, panty hose and her shoes were clean. And matchy-matchy jewelry.

I loved how real Jeannie was. She was a real southern lady, a belle. A dying breed. Can't be many more of them left.
