I didn't know that Trump's mother was ill and unavailable to him. That little piece of the puzzle really gives an extra bit of insight. Despite the fact that I'm an empathetic person I am having a hard time drumming up much empathy for our preshident. I guess it's because he is so vile. I think I'll read the book, just in case there's anything else in there that might give clues as to WHY he's so vile.
