Hey man,

I couldn't feel any worse for what you face as a hearing impaired person, trying to understand what is being said behind a mask.

I wondered how things would look for those who are hearing impaired when I first heard about mask wearing and coronavirus.

Here's the however though. I take a medication that trashes my immune system. I also have two pre-existing conditions that mean were I to get covid-19, I would be one of those whose health could be greatly impacted. I can die from it. I'm 66, not ready to die yet.

That confounded mask.

I rarely go into public, even now in fall 2022. I'm really sick of it. I go into public buildings for doctor's appointments. Nobody is wearing a mask. I live in Florida. Thanks De Santis.

I can't trade my life/health for your not being able to know what people are saying.

Masks work. Every single one of my family members who has foregone wearing masks has gotten sick. My step-daughter's grandmother is in the hospital with it right now. She got it after a few of her friends convinced her to drop the mask and go ahead into a restaurant for lunch. Prognosis isn't good.

My husband works for the health department. He keeps his mask on. He's never gotten infected but he's been exposed countless times.

Can't agree with you on this. Interesting to find out if others comment and where they stand.

Although I have empathy, I feel like we as a nation would be so much further ahead of the game had we taken this more seriously from the get go. Now its just a political mess.

Sorry, no claps for you. I normally clap long and hard but I just can't support this. It's personal.
